PASTURE (11206):

Pasture vegetation is a mix of irrigated perennial grasses and legumes that normally provide 100 percent canopy closure. The mix of grasses and legumes varies according to management practices such as seed mixture, fertilization, soil type, irrigation, weed control, and the type of livestock on the pasture.

DISTRIBUTION:

Pastures are planted on flat to gently rolling terrain. This type occurs throughout California but is most widespread in the Great Central Valley and to a lesser extent in coastal plains and valleys.
