A fairly dense grassland dominated by Pleuraphis rigida, with several shrubby species from Mojave Woody Scrub (34210) scattered throughout. Yucca brevifolia frequently is an aspect dominant even though it has a minority of absolute cover.
SITE FACTORS:
Dry, sandy or gravelly places from 2,000 to 7,000 feet.
DISTRIBUTION:
Upper bajadas and lower residual slopes of the higher ranges of the eastern Mojave and northern Colorado deserts.
