DESERT GREASEWOOD SCRUB (36130) :


Similar to Desert Saltbush Scrub (36110), but with plants more widely scattered, most species succulent, and species diversity lower.

SITE FACTORS:

Heavy, fine-textured, poorly drained soils of high osmotic potential. Often with high water table and salty soil surface crust.

DISTRIBUTION:

Valley bottoms and dry lake beds, widely scattered through Great Basin, Mojave, and Colorado deserts.
