Stage 3 Study Region
The Stage 3 planning region will surround the proposed UC Merced campus (UCM). It covers a relatively undeveloped area of grassland in which vernal pools are still intact. The Nature Conservancy already holds a conservation easement on part of the Flying M Ranch, east of the campus site. Squares are the 1 square mile sections that form the basis for parcels.
